Here at Justlife, we’re trying something new. We’re facilitating a new project, funded by Changing Futures Sussex, to develop Practice Development Networks across East and West Sussex.
What does that mean? We’re on a mission to unite practitioners across a range of disciplines – focusing on homelessness, current or historical offending, substance misuse, domestic abuse, and mental ill health.
Established in early November 2023, the Practice Development Networks aims to bring those working in the above areas together, to learn from each other and promote best practice. There’s a live resources board with links to various topics relating to Multiple Compound Needs, and the networks’ first event has been announced. We’re also working on putting together podcasts catering directly to MCN case workers. Learning, wellbeing and networking are very much the name of the game – we’re working hard to guarantee that the area’s support workers are catered to across all three.

The new monthly newsletter aims to bring resources, news and updates, podcasts, video content, regular Zoom hangout spaces, reflective learning opportunities and, most importantly, invitations to in-person and digital events across East and West Sussex.

What’s more, the Eventbrite page for our first East Sussex event is now live. We're delighted that Rosaria Gracia will join us to showcase her Movement Bites sessions: perfect, easy-to-learn exercises to ease tension and energise frontline workers. They're intended to fit into the busy day of a frontline practioner, and can even be completed sitting down. This session is suitable for any frontline workers.
