
Through our value of collaboration before competition, Justlife facilitates a number of forums and networks in addition to our service delivery in the Brighton & Hove area, with the aim of bringing workers and organisations together to: train and upskill; find solutions to local problems; shine a light on best practice; support and inspire.

Justlife is a partner of St Martin’s Frontline Network, facilitating the Brighton & Hove Frontline Network. The Frontline Network supports workers from the public, statutory, and voluntary sectors who work on the frontline with those experiencing homelessness.
Through monthly learning lunches and regular newsletters, the Brighton & Hove Frontline Network provides:
Funded by Changing Futures Sussex, the Practice Network supports frontline workers across Sussex in embedding Trauma-Informed Approaches into their everyday practice.
Through free training events, practical workshops, podcasts, and accessible learning resources, the team bring together professionals working across sectors including homelessness, offending (past or present), substance use, domestic abuse, and mental ill health.

The Practice Network has also produced a podcast series, exploring key themes such as lived experience involvement, co-production, and health engagement.
The HRSN consists of senior leaders from the voluntary, community & social enterprise (VCSE*) sector committed to working towards ending and preventing homelessness in Brighton and Hove through collaboration, within the sector and with statutory partners and wider stakeholders.

The Brighton & Hove Homelessness Research Forum brings together academic, third-sector and community researchers (including peer researchers) from across the city to exchange ideas, develop joint projects and bring about research-led change, improving the lives of people experiencing homelessness.

A monthly forum for homelessness services across the city to share updates on services, best practice, updates on commissioning, etc.
Initially set up by homelessness commissioners at Brighton & Hove City Council, it is now chaired by Justlife. Attended by managers across the homelessness sector, including day centres, housing providers, health, outreach and statutory services.

Temporary Accommodation Action Groups (TAAG) bring together key emergency and temporary accommodation stakeholders in the city, working together to identify challenges in TA and collaboratively design and deliver practical, local solutions.
Stakeholders meeting quarterly includes the local authority, charities, people with current or past lived experience, accommodation providers and health services. There are TAAGs in Brighton & Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex.
