Sussex Homelessness Sector Networks

Uniting workers and services across the region.

Brighton

Uniting workers and services across the region.

Overview

Through our value of collaboration before competition, Justlife facilitates a number of forums and networks in addition to our service delivery in the Brighton & Hove area, with the aim of bringing workers and organisations together to: train and upskill; find solutions to local problems; shine a light on best practice; support and inspire.

This work is coordinated by the Justlife Networks Team. If you would like to find out more about any of our Sussex Systems work, email kate@justlife.org.uk

Brighton & Hove Frontline Network: providing a space for Brighton's homelessness workers to connect

Justlife is a partner of St Martin’s Frontline Network, facilitating the Brighton & Hove Frontline Network. The Frontline Network supports workers from the public, statutory, and voluntary sectors who work on the frontline with those experiencing homelessness.

Through monthly learning lunches and regular newsletters, the Brighton & Hove Frontline Network provides:

  • Opportunities for frontline workers to regularly come together – to network, share experiences and expertise.
  • The potential to explore solutions to key issues affecting staff and the people they are supporting.
  • Links between the frontline voice and decision-makers.

Sign up for the B&H Frontline Network newsletter.

Practice Network

Funded by Changing Futures Sussex, the Practice Network supports frontline workers across Sussex in embedding Trauma-Informed Approaches into their everyday practice.

Through free training events, practical workshops, podcasts, and accessible learning resources, the team bring together professionals working across sectors including homelessness, offending (past or present), substance use, domestic abuse, and mental ill health.

Sign up for the Practice Network Newsletter or visit the Practice Networks website.

The Practice Network has also produced a podcast series, exploring key themes such as lived experience involvement, co-production, and health engagement.

Homelessness and Rough Sleepers Network (HRSN)

The HRSN consists of senior leaders from the voluntary, community & social enterprise (VCSE*) sector committed to working towards ending and preventing homelessness in Brighton and Hove through collaboration, within the sector and with statutory partners and wider stakeholders.

The Network aims to be proactive, creative and solution focused, prioritising:

  • Developing collaborative partnerships
  • Offering clear routes for engagement, development, and strategic thinking
  • Strengthening coordination and leadership within the VCSE in relation to health and social care and housing
  • To promote and represent the views and needs of the VSCE as expressed by the Network
  • Be informed by the voice and insights of those with lived and learned experience.

Visit the HRSN website to learn more.
