Introducing Dave

We are pleased to announce our new Chair of the Board of Trustees at Justlife is Dave Steell. Dave has worked in the charity and voluntary sector for over 30 years. Currently, he's the Minister and Team Leader of One Church Brighton, a broad and inclusive church community and a collection of values driven projects, serving marginalised people across Brighton & Hove.

Dave has broad experience of leading teams and helping people to make connections with each other and work in collaborative and innovative ways. Before moving to Brighton in 2009, he served on the executive leadership of a large, national charity in London and has been involved with several, grass-roots level, social justice projects and initiatives.

After many years of knowing about Justlife, and tracking its growth from its inception right up until all that it is doing now, I am extremely honoured and excited to be taking up the role of Chair of the Board of Trustees. I believe in the ethos of the organisation, that so closely matches my own passions and values, and I’m looking forward to doing all I can to encourage Simon in his role as CEO, to work well with the other trustees and to be supportive of the outstanding staff team. As the organisation continues to innovate in its services and influence policy, it feels like a great moment to become more actively involved and I’m looking forward to the challenge!

Dave Steel, Chair of the Board of Trustees

I'm so pleased to have Dave on our Board and taking the role of chair. He comes with a wealth of experience and values that align with our own. I look forward to working with dave and the Board over the next few years as we continue our mission to make people's experience of temporary accommodation short, safe and healthy

Simon Gale, CEO of Justlife

The Board of Trustees and staff team would like to take this opportunity to thank Vice Chair Ollie Wilson for covering the role over the past 9 months.
