We wish you a merry Christmas

It’s Christmas week and we kicked it off with a big Christmas party at Justlife Manchester.The staff team came together with friends and family as well as volunteers from One Manchester and our wonderful cooks Ruth and Jan to provide a fantastic full Christmas dinner. Ex-volunteer Dolapo and a previous placement student, Naomi came to join the team.Throughout the event photographer Phil put on a photobooth and everyone enjoyed decorating themselves with festive sparkle for the camera. Visit the Justlife centre in the new year to see the pics.After the meal the day carried on with game show style quizzes and a raffle with some brilliant prizes including: an alarm clock radio, skull candy headphones and special women’s and men’s toiletry sets. But those who weren’t winners did not miss out. Everyone received a Christmas gift bag containing some festive treats as well as donations from Manchester City Council, Chariot and other people and companies.There was an incredible atmosphere of peace and joy throughout the event and most people stayed for the full set of festivities. It was brilliant to celebrate together.Finally, we would like to thank St Clement’s church for hosting our Christmas celebration.Merry Christmas everyone! See you in 2016.
