Although England is now out of this year’s Rugby World Cup, at Justlife we still feel like winners. Justlife Manchester was given 2 tickets to see England vs. Uruguay at the Ethiad Stadium last week.Christa, Justlife advocacy worker, took Ruby to enjoy the game. Christa said…“It was great to be part of the World Cup. Ruby loved the experience too, taking part in every Mexican wave and cheering on England for every goal. England won 60 – 3, so by the end of the match we didn’t have much of our voices left.”Ruby said: “I never thought that I would get to do anything like that. It was great to be there and be in a crowd of 50,000 people. I enjoy rugby but haven’t watched it for years and never a big international game. I am a big Man City fan, so it was great to sit in the new stand at my favourite stadium”Ruby is currently living in some of the worst unsupported temporary accommodation in Manchester and is dealing with numerous issues, as well as homelessness. We would like to thank Manchester City Council and Cllr Battle for the tickets and the unforgettable experience.
