On Friday 21st September Justlife hosted a vison night for staff, volunteers and supporters of Justlife, celebrating the achievements of the past year and looking to the future. 20 people gathered together at Rhode Island Coffee in Stockport, donated as a venue by Raj Ruia - supporter and friend of Justlife.A highlight of the evening was celebrating the achievements of our hardworking volunteers. Paula Heywood, volunteering since 2009 was awarded 'Longest Serving Volunteer Award', faithfully coming to help at the lunch drop in every week for nearly 3 years and more recently taking on more work on a tuesday at the Justlife morning drop in.Jose Vazquez was awarded the "Volunteer Achievement Award". Working with Justlife for over a year Jose has gone from strength to strength, developing an excellent work ethic, project working and personal development skills by working with Matt. Jose has gone the extra mile and is now volunteering on a daily basis, furthering his skills and providing us with much needed one-to one and project working support.Andrew Sydenham was awarded the "Volunteer of the Year Award". Andrew joined Justlife in 2008 as a service user, but has become an integral part of the team at Justlife. He has been volunteering daily, is hard working, brilliant with people and uses his initiative in all tasks. He keeps Justlife looking presentable and we could not be as efficient or effective without his dedication.Thank you to all our volunteers for their hard work and dedication to the work of Justlife.Pic: Jose pictured with two Justlife service users.
