The Justlife Annual Jamboree
On Saturday 25th October Justlife gathered the board, staff and volunteers for the AGM… or what we decided to call it “The Justlife Annual Jamboree!”
In the evening we took time to hear about each project and celebrate the successes that we have seen over the last 12 months. One of the highlights was hearing from one service user who spoke about how Justlife had been there for him at his lowest point and is helping him get his life back on track. It is stories like this that we need to hear again and again to remind us why we are doing what we are doing!
Justlife has some incredible volunteers and we were delighted to award Brian, Andrew and Venford awards for their hard work volunteering over the past year.
During the day the board gathered to talk about the future and put their heads together to discuss the direction and dreams of Justlife. Together with the staff the team also looked at several areas of focus, sharing knowledge and ideas about better ways of working and developing as an organisation. This was an exciting time, full of brilliant, innovative and exciting ideas. Watch this space!
Gary Bishop, founder and CEO said, ‘The thing that always hits me at our AGM, when all the board, staff and volunteers come together is the incredible depth, diversity & quality of the team we have at Justlife; seeing them all in one room working on strategy together is really exciting. I think this year more than any before we have come away with a good balance of clear strategic direction and detailed plans to action change and development this year.’
Justlife is now 6 years old. We are excited about what this year holds for all of us.
