One of the best ways to support any charity is by donating. Whether it’s time, money or items like clothes and food, donating helps to keep charities like Justlife going.

Donating Money

If you can afford to, donating money helps us to run our services for the hidden homeless in Brighton and Manchester. This includes running activities for people who otherwise have very hard lives, and providing support to help people find better housing, and show them that there is a way forward.

You can donate money as frequently as you like, whether it’s a one off payment of a few pounds or regular monthly donations. If you wanted to, you could set up a standing order to Justlife, like you would with bigger charities such as Greenpeace or Cancer Research UK. You could also make a one off donation.

To donate go to this page. Any amount helps, and there’s no such thing as a donation too small.

We also have reserved places for events such as the Brighton Marathon. You could sponsor one of our runners and help them raise money for Justlife, or you could even join them yourself! If you're not feeling athletic, you could raise money in different ways, the only limit is your imagination.

If you'd like to find out more about our fundraising and how you could get involved, contact esther@justlife.org.uk.

Donating Items

Our Manchester project is always looking for clothes, food or furnishings for the people we support. You may have seen our Winter Wishlist on Twitter, where we asked for donations for people in UTA in Manchester.

For our Manchester projects, a few things you can do to make sure you’re giving items where they’re needed are to:

Check resources like Street Support (for our Manchester projects) or our Twitter and Facebook feeds to see if we’re looking for anything specific.

Get in contact before bringing us donations to make sure it’s what we’re looking for.

Let us know when you’re planning on coming so we can tell you whether we’ll be in or not.

Let us know who you are if you’re sending things via post so we can say thank you!

Also, in the spirit of reduce, reuse, recycle, please donate to other charities if you can’t donate to us – there will always be somebody who needs what you could give away. For example, if you want to donate in Brighton and Hove you can make practical donations to Project Antifreeze or the Salvation Army.

By doing this you will both be helping people in poor housing and doing your bit for the planet by reducing waste. Two new years resolutions in one!
