This week, Justlife Brighton welcomes Lucy Trott to the staff team as a project worker on the new 5-year Big Lotery funded project. Lucy will be working alongside Simon Gale, project manager.

Lucy has been involved with Justlife as a volunteer for more than a year at the weekly drop-in. Previously, Lucy worked at Brighton & Hove City Council as Sports Development Officer for 2 years; where she built a set of valuable skills to plan, launch and run this new 5 year project working with vulnerable adults living in unsupported temporary accommodation.

Lucy said: “Volunteering with Justlife has given me important insight into the charity’s values and vision and the direction in which we want to go. I am excited about setting up this project from scratch and creating a holistic support programme for the next 5 years. I have seen how lives can be impacted and changed by just one drop-in session a week, so I am excited to see how we can really empower people to change with so much more input.”

“For me the challenge is learning a whole new sector, but I am surrounded by a great team to learn from with a breadth of experience and skills; a team that I love being a part of.”
