My first weeks at Justlife have been great: staff conference, meeting the full team from Brighton and Manchester, a curry night with the staff and directors, learning lots of new things and putting my skills into practice to make a real difference.Since graduating in 1999 I worked for a large accountancy firm auditing local Councils and Housing Associations. I recently decided I wanted to make a real difference and use my skills to more directly benefit the lives of others, so came to work for Justlife.My job here is Finance and Admin Officer, I will be helping Justlife manage its finances as it grows as an organisation. As well as the finance stuff I am taking on new challenges such as helping to roll out a new database system that helps record our involvement with our clients. Last week was a great time to start as we had the staff conference, brilliant to get an insight into lots of aspects of the organisation and do some big picture thinking, and I met up with people from Brighton who I will be supporting, as well as our staff in Manchester. It was great to meet the Justlife Directors too who are equally as passionate as the staff at Justlife.
