Justlife’s newest board member, Helen Bullough has spent the past 4 months volunteering on the frontline at the Justlife Centre in Manchester. She has played an integral role helping out at the Friday drop-in sessions and working alongside service users to clear, prepare and plant out the garden and allotment for summer.

Helen said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed volunteering on the gardening project. The Justlife team made me so welcome each week and it’s been great to learn more about their work, the challenges they face and to get to know the service users. It’s been good to see the services users using their varied skills to bring the garden to life and grow such a wide variety of vegetables and I’ve learned such a lot from them all. So much so, I’m now growing my own vegetables at home! By having the opportunity to spend time with the team and service users, it’s given me a useful insight into the work of the organisation, which I will help me in my role as Trustee.”

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Helen for her contribution to the Justlife centre over the past few months and are delighted that she will be still involved on the Board of Directors.
