20140227_115752Last week, Justlife Brighton held its first cooking workshop. The 2 hour workshop was run by Caroline, from Brighton & Hove Food Partnership and gave 4 Justlife service users an opportunity to make blueberry and apple pancakes, Mackerel pate, smallish omelette and leak and potato soup.Fran, project worker at Justlife, organised the session. She said: "The cooking workshop was really good because it brought the people together. We all worked as a team to make the food that we ate. It was lovely to see people included who are usually excluded in the rest of society."Caroline taught about healthy eating, cheap ways of cooking tasty food and hints and tips for measuring and cooking without masses of kitchen equipment. The workshop was enjoyed by all and we are hoping to carry out similar workshops again.
