francisFrancis* first came to Justlife about a year ago as he was living in a local B&B. He gradually got to know the staff and volunteers and began to engage in activities.Due to a long history of drug addiction and other health problems he was on Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) and unable to work. But, with help from Justlife staff he began to tackle these issues. We successfully helped him move to better accommodation, where he is safe and feels stable. Now doing well, Francis is now looking for work. He began to attend the Justlife Job Club. a few months ago. Francis worked as a financial professional many years ago and was initially nervous about ever using these skills again. The Jobclub Coordinator encouraged him and he began searching for jobs that matched his qualifications. He continued to gain confidence and we have helped him to secure a work placement in the accounts department with Marks and Spencer (through Business in the Community) which is due to start in the coming weeks. Francis is now excited about this opportunity and the prospect of working again.#juststories*Name changed to protect identity.
