This month we are delighted to welcome Helen Bullough to the Justlife Board of Directors of Justlife Foundation.Prior to joining the Justlife team, Helen was the Head of NW Region for the Big Lottery Fund, the largest UK lottery distributor, for 8 years, having previously managed a grant assessment and management team. She was one of 9 regional Heads across England, that led a small regional team gathering regional intelligence through research and stakeholder engagement, to feed into investment design and decision making. She was also responsible for all of the communications and public affairs work in the region.During her time at Big Lottery Fund, Helen worked on a range of projects including the outcome based funding approach, designing and delivering training, organisational restructure and the development of a new funding management system.Previously Helen worked for North & Mid Cheshire Training and Enterprise Council where she was responsible for Open Learning, Service Development and Economic Research. During this time she was also a Board member for the British Association for Open Learning and a consultant for the then Department for Education and Employment.Helen said: "I've been aware of the work of Justlife for a number of years through my role at Big lottery Fund and was always impressed by their work and dedication to making a better life for some of the most vulnerable people in society. I was delighted when Gary asked me to become a Trustee and immediately offered to volunteer so I could get a better understanding of their work at a hands on level. I'm currently helping out on a Monday when a hot lunch is provided and will soon be starting work on the garden, working with some of the service users to develop the garden and grow our own vegetables."
