"My life has changed so much since coming to Justlife"

Working with vulnerable and homeless people can at times be difficult and stories can be negative... But sometimes people are keen to share with you how their life has been changed by your help. This is always a delight to hear.Last week one of our volunteers, James*, in Manchester came to us wanting to share. This is what he had to say:"My life has changed so much since coming to Justlife. I am happy here. I don't take loads of drugs now and don't drink much any more. If I wasn't coming to Justlife and volunteering here I know that my life would be a lot worse. Also, when I first came here, I didn't like people much, but now I do. I used to think about myself and that's it, but now I know that the people come to Justlife because they need help and I am happy to help."James has been volunteering at Justlife since March 2014 and works with us 4 days a week. He takes charge of the refreshments in morning drop-ins, an important element of everyone receiving an extraordinary welcome at the Justlife centre.
