Jim arrived at Justlife 6 months ago. Originally from Manchester he has been abroad with family for several years before moving back to the UK and Manchester, because job prospects were bleak where he was. However, unable to find work and homeless he found himself living in Gransmoor Avenue.
Jim was referred to Justlife at Home by Christa at the Justlife centre. He had no drug or alcohol issues, but pressures, conditions at Gransmoor and circumstances within his temporary accommodation were pushing him to the edge and driving him towards the drink. Nigel, the Justlife at Home manager worked with Jim intensely over a short period and quickly found a suitable private rented sector flat about a mile away.
At the end of 2013 Jim moved into his new home, helped by a welcome pack and furniture donations. He is extremely happy to be out of temporary accommodation and able to move forward in life - looking for work and giving back to society.
