Jane and Callum had been sofa surfing in Manchester for 7 years; bouncing between various family members and friends. They were forced to leave their original tenancy through fear of violence, but because they never reported the problems the pair were found to be intentionally homeless. Callum has ongoing mental health issues and was desperate to live with Jane, his closest relative.

The pair were both receiving support for various issues, but as both were homeless and had unstable living situations – they were finding it difficult to move forwards.Jane and Callum found out about Justlife at Home through an employment and training agency; a new referral partner.Nigel, the Justlife at Home manager sourced a 2-bed house for the pair in Gorton, ideally located with a good family support network in the vicinity. Within a matter of weeks Jane and Callum had moved in. Justlife provided a move-in pack and they were successful in securing items such as a fridge and beds through the Welfare Provision scheme.Jane was moved to tears when she received the key to her new home; her first house key in seven years. The pair have been in the property for 4 weeks now and are incredibly happy.
