Bikes welcome at Justlife Manchester

Several of Justlife’s service users, staff and volunteers cycle to the Manchester centre, and before now we were unable to provide a safe place to store bikes. Bikes were either being dragged through the building to the back or service users would stand outside or make sure there was someone keeping an eye on their bike. But now, thanks to Adactus, The People’s Health Trust and BAM, we have a brilliant and beautiful bike rack.

Over the past 12 months we have been working closely with a construction company, BAM, on several projects to help people into work and support Justlife’s activities. BAM organised for us to have a concrete base laid, on which the bike rack would sit. Thanks BAM!

We were able to purchase the bike rack through the Adactus Neighbourhood Fund, which has also enabled us to develop the award winning Justlife garden and allotments over the past 12 months. Thanks Adactus!

The bike rack also doubles up as a planter. The flowers that sit at the back of the bike rack were funded by the People’s Health Trust. Thanks very much!

Now, we are pleased to be able to offer a safe and secure place, with locks, for all visitors, service users, staff members and volunteers to store bikes in.
