Amy first started coming to Justlife last year, but she would never step over the threshold. She stood outside whilst her partner came into the centre, and left after just a few minutes. Gradually, Amy built the confidence to venture into the centre, but she would never sit down and stay. After she broke up with her partner, she began to seek more support from project workers; and eventually began to form stronger friendships with other service users.

Over the past 6 months we have seen Amy transform in confidence. She now comes to most drop in sessions, on her own, she has become friends with a lot of the other service users, she comes to workshops, including the job club; keen to start volunteering or working. She has gone from being reclusive to being more confident and involved. We are continuing to work with her and are increasingly seeing improvements as she works through some of her struggles around mental health and addiction.
