photo-22Last week the 'Levenshulme Supper Club', donated all remaining food to Justlife. We received lots of lovely, organic vegetables and fruit from unicorn, flour, sugar and even some suet. Thanks to Jan, the Justlife cook, all of this came together perfectly to provide pretty much everything that we needed for Monday's hot and healthy drop-in meal. Not only did the Levenshulme Supperclub support Justlife with this generous donation, but they raised money for the Solomon Project in Kenya. This project provides meals in schools for chronically hungry kids in a town called Eldoret. They are funding the meals for 3 schools at present and hope to increase this with time. The idea is the kids that would spend the day scavenging for food can actually go to school, receive an education and in turn get fed (usually the only meal of the day). If you want to know more, the website is www.thesolomonproject.co.uk
