Today Justlife Manchester launched a 6 week budgeting course. The course is being run by the Money Matters Team at Eastlands Homes and has been tailored to the needs of the Justlife clients. The group enjoyed a taste test, demonstrating that low cost does not necessarily mean compromising on taste, and a friendly introduction to the course.With changes in benefits and the advent of universal credit being introduced over the next few years most people will have to manage a monthly budget, instead of having direct payments to their landlords and receiving benefits twice-monthly.The interactive course enables participants to learn about: budgeting, credit, debt, communication and family and money. We are delighted to be able to equip service users with the skills and knowledge to be able to manage the benefit changes.The course is running every Wednesday at 11am at the Justlife Centre, Openshaw, Manchester.
