20131120_102950Last week, Justlife Brighton launched a residents association open to people living in unsupported temporary accommodation.Temporary Accommodation Residents Association (TARA) is a forum for people to share their views on and issues that they face in temporary accommodation and perhaps discuss how to overcome problems or move forward. Experience in both Manchester and Brighton has shown us that life in temporary accommodation is challenging and residents often face serious issues including: intimidation, poor conditions and crime. We are hoping that TARA will be an opportunity for people to share and work together to make positive changes in their own lives. The sessions are led by Tom (Justlife PathwayPlus worker) and Simon (Project Manager, Justlife Brighton). The forum will be accompanied by tea and toast! The weekly meeting is every Thursday 10.30-11.30am at One Church, Gloucester Place, Brighton.
