This week Justlife received a grant of nearly £5k to develop the quality and sustainability of the Justlife Jobclub and related activities. Over the past 12 months Justlife has increased its work in helping people move towards employment with a focussed jobclub, CV workshops and one2one appointments. We have worked with over 70 people improving their job readiness and 13 people have got jobs.The Manchester City Council will be spent on new computers for the service users to use, staff time to invest in making links with employers and an improved database and recording mechanisms.Over the past year, the Jobclub and 'towards employment' activities has received funding from Jobcentre Plus, Ruia Foundation and European Social Fund. We are delighted to have financial backing for the Jobclub from Manchester City Council, as this recognises the successes everyday.
