Last Friday Justlife Manchester hosted the first in a series of regular service user forums. This was led by Mike, a service user who has recently started volunteering at Justlife. With no staff interference, this allowed people to be really honest. The forum was a great opportunity to say what they really think, make suggestions and discuss issues. It was exciting to hear really positive feedback, how people have been helped by our services, and how welcome everyone feels. But, also we learned about how the service users want to develop what we are doing including workshop suggestions of wood work and and perhaps a mens group. The findings from the forum will feed directly in to service development and how we work as a centre and a wider organisation. At Justlife everyone's voice matters and we constantly seek opportunities to ensure people can feedback and input into improving our services.
