Last week Justlife took a group of 10 on a canal barge trip on the outskirts of Manchester.The trip was donated to Justlife by Eastlands Homes. Eastlands Homes have been a continual support to Justlife Manchester, partnering with Justlife to deliver the Jobclub, giving staff time to decorate the centre, donating garden items and financially supporting the Christmas party.Starting at Portland Basin (Ashton-under-Lyne) the barge cruised up the canal to Hyde, where we enjoyed a relaxing lunch. All the people who came had never been on a barge and really enjoyed the experience, scenery and time to get to know each other better.Trips like this are vital in encouraging people to broaden their horizons and try new experiences.
