Over the past 6 weeks Justlife clients have been creating written and illustrated works as part of a cultural celebration in east Manchester, which culminated in a launch on Saturday. The afternoon event included arts, giant puppets, writing and craft, but the highlight for us was the readings by resident artist Sarah Butler and Justlife clients.We were delighted that 2 Justlifers were able to read out their work in this public setting, receiving much praise. Resident Artist, Sarah, has conducted a series of workshops over the past 8 weeks at Justlife which have involved many different faces at Justlife. She has helped people bring out their creative streak and build confidence in our service users.More information about the project is available on eastmanchesterstories.co.uk . This is the second project that Justlife has done in conjunction with Beswick Library; the first being an art exhibition in Winter 2012.
