Creating bright white smiles at Justlife

dentists at justlife 2This week Justlife offered it's first dental clinic from the Manchester centre. Revive Dental Care operated the clinic for 2 hours offering free dental check ups to all service users.Conducting a drop in service from our meeting room the team gave a free check up and advice to 10 Justlife service users in less than 2 hours. Commonly they would see around 3 clients during a similar service that they run from a Doctor's surgery. Most people had basic checks, one was given a dental appointment for next week and one given an emergency appointment at a dental surgery for that day having presented with bad toothache.Dental treatment is something that is often neglected amongst the homeless and vulnerable communities with which we work, and but bad teeth effect people's confidence and self-esteem in a big way. This was a greatThe demand for their services was so great that the team from Revive Dental Care will be returning next week to see more people from Justlife. We are hoping that we can set up a regular time for the team to visit.Revive Dental Healthcare run a “ Drop In” NHS dental clinic for the Homeless every Tuesday afternoon at the Ancoats Primary Care Centre, in Old Mill Street, Ancoats M4 6EE.
