In less than 4 weeks 14 runners will hit the streets of Brighton each running 26.2 miles each with the aim of raising £10,000 in total for Justlife. We are delighted to have Chick Yuill, a valued supporter, on the Justlife Brighton Marathon Team. As well as a gruelling marathon training programme Chick is in the midst of cancer treatment, but this isn’t stopping him.Chick says: “Firstly, running the Brighton marathon is a celebration and thanksgiving for the good health I'm enjoying following my treatment for prostate cancer. In fact, I'll still be undergoing hormone therapy by the time the Brighton Marathon comes around, and it's a great chance to say, 'A diagnosis of cancer is no reason to lie down and feel sorry for yourself!' “Secondly, I want to support the wonderful work being done by Justlife for people who are much less fortunate than I am. Justlife gives them the opportunity to start again and to find a place and a role in society.” This will be Chick’s 9th marathon and he is aiming to do 10 in his lifetime. If you would like to sponsor Chick please click here.Chick and the rest of the team would love your support on the day. Join us on 14th April in Brighton.Pic: Chick and wife, Margaret Yuill, running the 2011 Dublin marathon.
