We have loved working with Antonio at the Justlife centre over the past month. Here is his story:I came to Justlife just over a month ago. When I walked in the door, I was homeless, sleeping rough with nowhere to stay. I had just arrived in Manchester and life was hard. Matt immediately helped me get somewhere to live just down the road from the Justlife centre.I came back the next day to the centre, and have been back most days since. Justlife has helped me with everything. They have housed me, fed me and given me motivation in life. Alex and Jammal helped me with my CV and looking for jobs. I am a chef and really needed to get my food safety level 2 NVQ, so Justlife enabled me to do a course and get the qualification.Last week I was offered two jobs, one as a a head chef and the other as a second chef in an Italian restaurant, and this week I am working. The help doesn't stop now though. I am hoping that Justlife will be able to help me get my own tenancy once I have worked for a bit and have a little more stability.Over the past month I have had something to do everyday. The cooking workshop, gardening, computers, the job club, the food drop-ins where I could socialise. I have met some amazing people, who come to use and who work at the centre. You have helped me so much. You are the reason that I get up.We wish Antonio the very best with his new job and plan to continue to work with him as long as he needs.
