Four service users at the Justlife Centre, in Manchester, have recently joined the Justlife team as volunteers. These latest recruits join two other service user volunteers, a staff team and other people lending their time and services from the community.Volunteering is a key part of each person's development plan, creating a pathway for moving forward. We have been really excited to see all volunteers step into their roles with real confidence and commitment. Whether it's mopping up, helping a service user access the internet, helping with maintenance or filing, all new volunteers have been incredibly helpful. The volunteers will undergo full training, adding to their skills and employability, including accredited first aid and food safety training.Ruth, centre manager said: "The new volunteers have really stepped up to the challenge. Eager to serve and be involved several of them have volunteered to help when we have been extremely busy, or gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure all jobs are done. We wouldn't be able to run the centre so efficiently without them."Help us to keep helping. Vote for us in the National Lottery Awards. Just click herePhoto: staff and volunteers.
