Last week 14 service users, volunteers and staff at Justlife Manchester went to the Royal Exchange Theatre to see Rat's Tales. The play is premiering in the Royal Exchange. Using live music, animation, puppetry and storytelling, we were taken on a thrilling journey into new and mysterious adaptations of folk stories from around the world.‘Fairy tales are strange and familiar, frightening and reassuring, and provide a map of childhood which we can use as adults to remember who we are. Their retelling and reinterpretation is part of the lifeblood of literature.’Carol Ann Duffy The play was excellent and the service users, most of whom had never been to the theatre, really enjoyed the experience. The tickets were donated to Justlife as part of the Royal Exchange communities programme.
