This week we welcomed veterinary nurse Rachel Wyatt-Cox to operate Justlife's first animal check up session. Several of our service users have pets, including dogs, budgies and cats, so we wanted to give people an opportunity to give their loved animals a check up.Whilst at Justlife, Rachel was able to meet many Justlife service users and get to know them, she could give advice if people were unable to bring pets. Cassie the dog was her only patient. She seemed well cared for and loved, just getting on in years at 16!On a usual day Rachel works at the PDSA based in Old Trafford. She said: "In the past I have worked with vulnerable and homeless people, and I know what a huge part animals can be to the lives of homeless people. It is great to be able to help."We will be welcoming Rachel and the health check for animals back to Justlife over the Summer.
