Justlife has set up a partnership with Beswick Library to loan books and help Justlife service users access the library facilities. The library is over 2 miles away from the Justlife centre, and the residences of most Justlife clients, so it is not a place that they would be able to get to. Justlife borrows around 10 books a month for our clients to read, learn and chat about.World records, history of Manchester, science, skateboarding, graffiti and Egyptology are just a few of the topics that we have borrowed books about. The books are very much being enjoyed. It is exciting to see people remember past interests and passions as well as developing new interests.The books are refreshed on a monthly basis when we take a group of service users to the library to select new books and find out more about what the library has to offer.This partnership is just one of the ways that we are making the most of what's available in the community of East Manchester.
