Justlife has been awarded a cash grant of £5060 by Manchester City Council, which will be used to provide training for staff, volunteers and service users. We are delighted that people involved at all levels of Justlife will be able to take part in accredited training, beneficial to their personal and professional development as well as benefitting the organisation and wider community.Four members of Justlife staff will be trained and qualify in project management. The funding has enabled us to expand our volunteer training programme to include accredited modules in Food Safety and First Aid. Also, we plan to apply to become an Open Awards centre, enabling us to accredit workshops and short courses completed by our service users in areas such as: cooking, IT and gardening. Many of our service users have few or no qualifications, so being able to provide accredited training is an exciting asset that we will be able to offer.(Pic: Two former volunteers passed Food Safety Level 2)
