Last week 12 service users, volunteers and staff visited the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester for a behind the scenes tour. The group heard about the history of the theatre, as a cotton exchange, and got to see the wardrobe department, costumes section, rehearsal spaces as well as the theatre itself. The tour ignited a real interest in theatre and what's going on at the Exchange. One service user said: "It was really interesting. I learnt a lot about the theatre and it was just good to do something different. I have never been to anything like that before and don't think I would have done if it wasn't for the trip."This visit is the pre-cursor to a group theatre trip in December, where 14 people will be going to see "Rats' Tales" by Carol Ann Duffy. Justlife have been given the tickets by the Royal Exchange Theatre as part of a community engagement programme.
