Lots of Pots
Last week a group from the Justlife Centre in Manchester took a trip to Manchester Ceramics Enterprise. This social enterprise trains homeless people in ceramic production and related skills in order to make and sell art based ceramic products made to a professional standard.
Earlier in the year, artist Wendy Andrew, ran a series of popular workshops at Justlife to build interest and enable Justlife service users build ceramic skills and get creative. During the trip to the studio each participant made their own pot using a potters wheel and had the opportunity to find out more about the project.
We are really looking forward to seeing the finished and fired items in a few weeks time.
